The Nigerian Youth Parliament has organized a conference in commemoration of the 2021 International Day of Parliamentarism at the National Assembly.
In consideration of the fact that many parts of the country are bedeviled with issues of insecurity at the moment, the theme of the Conference was noted as Roles of the Legislature in improving National Security where some experienced legislators were involved as guest speakers.
In his speech, the Senator representing Gombe Central, Senator Danjuma Goje commends the Speaker and the leadership of the Nigerian Youth Parliament for organizing a conference to celebrate the 2021 International Day of Parliamentarism. He further said that the theme given to the event reflects the current of insecurity in the country.
In his address, the Chairman of the Young Parliamentarians Forum equally commends the youth parliament for the laudable initiative.
The Speaker of the Parliament appreciates turn out of distinguished invited guests, the likes of Senators Danjuma Goje and Bala Na Allah, Rtd. IGP Solomon Arese, Hon Kabiru Tukura and other members of the Young Parliamentarians Forum for honoring the invitation of the Parliament.
He used the opportunity to call on all stakeholders responsible for securing Nigeria to be steadfast in discharging their constitutional duties.
