The Nigerian Youth Parliament joined the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sport Development, Sunday Dare, Minister of Women affairs Pauline Tallen, Acting DG EFCC Ibrahim Magu and other relevant stakeholders on 14th February , 2020 marking the 2020 Valentines Day to senzitize the general public through a Nigerian Youth Walk Against Corruption.
Addressing the general public, The Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament Rt. Hon. Mubarak Mijinyawa expressed his displeasure at the magnitude to which corruption has taken us in Nigeria. "Corruption is a cankerworm that has eaten deep into the fabrics of national life" Mubarak said. He further commended the efforts of Mr. President on the fight against corruption and the measures being put in place.
Addressing newsmen, he reiterated his commitment towards prioritizing the interest of the Youth of Nigeria by legislating motions that will benefit the Youth Populace as well as seeing to its passage and approval by the National Assembly.
Mubarak however enjoined Nigerians especially the Youth to desist from any social vices and also charged the Government to responsibility of ensuring that law and order takes it place in the country.
Other members of the Nigerian Youth Parliament from across the six geo political zones also joined the Walk Against Corruption.
